In 2024, Torres-Nuñez won Citizens for Global Solutions’ New Voices 4 Global Solutions Essay Contest, a competition for people aged 18 to 30 seeking to strengthen the global governance system. Her winning essay, “Mobile Gender Courts: A Solution To Accountability Gaps in UN Peacekeeping and Survival Sex,” examines the persistent accountability gap in United Nations peacekeeping missions and the problem of sexual exploitation and abuse, proposing mobile gender courts as a remedy. An adapted version of the essay appeared in CGS’s journal, Mondial.
