Climate breakdown does not stop at a border. Neither does a pandemic, a nuclear arsenal, or a war crime. The institutions built to answer problems like these are still organised nation by nation, and they keep arriving late and leaving early. World federalists start from a different premise: that humanity needs democratic, accountable, federal institutions above the nation state, with the authority to act where national governments cannot or will not.
Mondial is where that case is argued and tested against events. It publishes analysis, argument, and reviews on global governance and on the crises that make the case urgent: reforming the United Nations and its Security Council, strengthening the International Criminal Court, building toward a UN Parliamentary Assembly, and defending the rule of law across borders. The writing is not neutral about where it lands, and it does not pretend to be.
No single organisation owns this argument, so Mondial does not run on one organisation's output alone. It draws on writers from across the world federalist movement: Citizens for Global Solutions, World Federalist Movement – Canada, The Federalist Debate, Young World Federalists, and the World Federalist Movement, Institute for Global Policy. Every republished piece credits and links the organisation that published it first. Those organisations keep their own sites and channels, and send readers here for the writing.
The print journal is one of these contributors, not the centre of the site. Citizens for Global Solutions and World Federalist Movement – Canada have published it twice a year since 2017, and every issue is here, article by article, with the printed pages alongside as a PDF. Mondial itself runs no social media accounts and promises none. The one channel it keeps for itself is a monthly email carrying a single article: subscribe here.

Write for Mondial
Pitching Mondial puts a piece in front of the whole movement rather than one organisation's mailing list. Editors work with contributors on structure and argument before anything runs, and the strongest pieces are selected for the printed journal. Work already published elsewhere is welcome: Mondial republishes it with credit and a canonical link back to the original, and asks for no exclusivity.
