Erica Wilson serves on the Board of Directors of the World Federalist Movement – Canada (WFM–C). She previously led the organization’s media and digital communications and coordinated Mondial, the WFM–C journal published twice a year and circulated internationally. She earned a Master of Global Affairs (MGA) from the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy at the University of Toronto in 2020, with an emphasis in innovation policy, building on an undergraduate Bachelor of Arts. During her graduate studies she served as Director of Podcasts for Global Conversations, the Munk School’s student media organization, producing a series with the NATO Association of Canada for its 70th anniversary and a multi-part series on the global environment with the Environmental Governance Lab. In 2019 she completed an internship with UNICEF’s Human Rights Unit in Geneva, where she attended the 43rd session of the UN Human Rights Council and reviewed country compliance with the Convention on the Rights of the Child. She first joined WFM–C as a summer volunteer with the Toronto Branch, serving as Director of Communication, and she has continued to serve on the board of the WFM–C Toronto Region Branch. Her writing for Mondial reflects a consistent focus on accountability and rights, from a 2023 piece on accountability for pandemic profiteers to a 2024 article (co-written with Alyn Ware) on strengthening UN resilience through a proposed Special Envoy for Future Generations, and a 2025 book review. Her professional interests center on global governance, world federalism, human rights, and strategic communications for civil society.
